Satsiva chicken is gently cooked in a creamy and nutty sauce and absorbs exquisite flavors!

If you’re looking for a new meal idea that’s quick and easy to make, you’ve come to the right place! Satsivi convinces with just a few ingredients and even less effort: try the creamy taste of Georgian chicken!

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 120 grams of walnuts
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 teaspoons of tarragon, dried
  • 2 teaspoons of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Pepper salt
  • 200 ml of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon tahini sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 300 grams of rice
  • 4 chicken fillets
  • ½ bunch of parsley
  • 1 pomegranate

Approximately per serving:

  • 727 calories
  • 27 grams of fat
  • 71 grams of carbohydrates
  • 50 grams of protein

And here’s how it’s done:


  1. For the nut sauce, grind the walnuts in a blender. Peel and roughly chop the garlic, then add to the walnuts along with the tarragon, turmeric, cinnamon, salt and pepper and mix again.

  2. To make the sauce, add ¼ of the chicken stock to a blender along with the tahini sauce and vinegar and blend until smooth.
  3. Heat the remaining ¾ of the chicken stock in a saucepan over medium-high heat. When the broth is heated, start stirring the nut sauce.
  4. Bring the liquid to a boil and add the chicken. Simmer in boiling sauce for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the rice according to package directions.
  6. Before serving, chop the parsley and peel the pomegranate.
  7. Remove the pan from the heat and garnish with parsley and pomegranate seeds. Serve Georgian-style chicken in nut sauce with rice and enjoy.
